Newly Added Cooper Hawk Chick added to existing Nest. Her nest was cut down by tree trimmers. She was the only surviver. We Fostered her out to this active nest.

Very Young Cooper's Hawk Chick

Cooper's Hawks are very difficult to spot in their deep undercover in the trees. They maneuver with speed and bank turns unbelievably well through the trees. This Female looks like she was well exposed, but because of the length of my lens, you cannot see all the brush in front of her.

Cooper's Hawks are stealth hunters able to fly and weave through dense trees to get their prey which is typically other birds as seen here.
